Isaac Addae Isaac is a first generation American and the eldest child of parents who emigrated from the West African nation of Ghana. He completed undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering from Tennessee State University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Management at Morgan State University. Isaac's career experience spans various industries and companies such as IBM, Ford Motor Company, and Raytheon. He now works as a technology consultant in the Washington, DC metro area. Isaac enjoys reading, running, and traveling in his spare time. His travels have taken him to Africa on numerous occasions and have fueled his desire to provide education to disadvantaged youth. He is a staunch advocate for education and possesses a deep compassion for the plight of youth around the world.
Martinez Addae Martinez, a native of the state of Tennessee, completed her undergraduate and graduate education in engineering at Tennessee State University. After starting her career at IBM, she left the company to join the Raytheon Engineering Leadership Development Program. She is currently employed as an associate consultant in the defense industry and lives in the Washington, DC metro area. Martinez enjoys traveling, shopping, and reading. She has always been interested in helping others and became concerned with the plight of African youth through her visits to the continent.
Raymond Avornyo After completing high school in Ghana, also his birthplace, Raymond ventured to the US to attend college. Given his background, Raymond has first hand knowledge of the socioeconomic issues facing the impoverished in Ghana. It is this intimate knowledge that motivates him to contribute in this endeavor to find solutions to some of the issues. Raymond pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at Tennessee State University and currently works for Georgia Transmission Corporation as a Relay Control Engineer.
Angela Addae Angela was born and raised in the US. She is currently a doctoral student at the University of Arizona where she is studying Sociology with a concentration in Development. During her undergraduate career at Fisk University, Angela had the opportunity to study abroad in Ghana, West Africa. While in Ghana, she became aware of the various educational issues faced by the nation's youth. It is her desire to bring awareness to the needs of impoverished youth and create solutions to improve their lives.
Ato Wright Ato left Ghana as a teenager to begin high school in the US. He attended Penn State University and earned a Bachelor's degree in biology and pre-medicine. After college, Ato began an arduous journey towards an M.D. and a Ph.D. at Penn State's College of Medicine. His success in the dual degree program led him to become a medical resident in radiation oncology at Duke University's School of Medicine. As a researcher and physician, Ato is passionate about finding a cure for cancer and treating those infected with the disease. When on break from his work in the hospital, Ato looks for the nearest gym or soccer field to squeeze in a workout. His experience with education in Ghana affords him a unique perspective on the challenges faced by African youth. Ato seeks to enlighten youth on healthcare related issues while also providing them with improved access to quality education.
Siegfried Anyomi Siegfried is currently a graduate student in Ohio University studying Applied Mathematics. He specializes in the construction and evaluation of Actuarial Models with regards to claim and reserve analytics in Property and Casualty insurance. Siegfried had his bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He is pursuing a career as an American Actuary in the Property and Casualty insurance. Mention the concept of Utopia to Siegfried and a philosopher emerges. He loves to think about, write about, and talk about ideal societies and political systems. It is his delight to extend his excellence to humanity to improve quality of life and living.
