On Saturday, April 14, 2012, Save The Villages supported a fundraiser hosted by High Dimensions, a nonprofit organization focused on educating youth in Nigeria. The event, titled Spring Into Action, was held at Tabaq Bistro in Washington, DC. It featured several talented artists and entertainers, guest speakers, and an appearance by Jamal Miller, commissioner of District Heights, Maryland.
At the request of Korede Oladapo, founder and executive director of High Dimensions, Isaac spoke to the audience about the mission of Save The Villages and our efforts to improve access to education for youth in Ghana. Isaac also addressed the similarities between the two organizations and the need for support from the community to assist in the realization of their visions.
The event was successful and provided a venue to bring awareness to the importance of providing support for youth in Africa seeking to further their education. We look forward to partnering with High Dimensions in the future as our organizations focus on achieving our missions and improving the lives of youth in the developing world.
